Description THE ROLE Downer's Power Projects team is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-voltage (HV) utility and connection projects across transmission and substation infrastructure. In this role, you will oversee the entire project delivery process, from planning to commissioning, ensuring that all work aligns with client requirements, safety standards, and commercial objectives. As this is a national role, we are open to candidates from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide . You will report to the Project Director and spend time in the office and on-site, collaborating closely with a team of construction managers, project engineers, crew leaders, technical staff, and support personnel to efficiently deliver projects. Some of the key responsibilities include: Lead delivery of HV utility, connection and new infrastructure projects. Manage project planning, execution and commissioning activities. Oversee project budgets, schedules and performance outcomes. Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement, risk management and delivery efficiency. ABOUT YOU You are a results-oriented project leader with experience in delivering HV utility or connection projects. You blend strong technical understanding with commercial insight and adopt a collaborative leadership style to achieve successful outcomes across complex infrastructure initiatives. A Trade or Engineering (Electrical or similar) qualification and/or a Diploma in Project Management. Experience delivering HV transmission, substation or connection projects. Strong project management capability across the full project lifecycle. Superior communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and up and downstream.
